Learn to Lift: Strength Training for Women

Book Now

Learn to Lift is designed for women who want to build strength safely and confidently. This program is designed to teach women the why behind strength training for bone and muscle health. Rather than simply being told what to do, participants learn how progressive loading, intensity, and movement selection directly influence bone density, muscle strength, and long-term resilience—empowering them to train with confidence both inside and outside the studio.

Learn to Lift is ideal if you:

  • Are new to strength training

  • Want to understand how to lift safely and effectively

  • Wanting to future-proof your bone density

  • Want strength training that is guided, progressive and evidence-based

  • Want to optimise body composition and counter the physical changes associated with perimenopause and menopause.

Each participant completes an initial assessment so exercises can be tailored to individual ability, goals and safety. Led by physiotherapists and experienced movement educators, these classes providing high-quality coaching in a small-group setting.  As strength and skill improve, the classes progressively become more challenging to support meaningful, long-term results.

Bone Strength Program

Book Now

In Australia, osteoporosis affects 1 in 5 women over 50 and can significantly impact physical function, confidence and independence. While bone density peaks in our late 20s, the right type of exercise can help maintain—and improve—bone strength at any stage of life.

Our small-group, physiotherapist-led bone strength classes are designed for people with osteopenia, osteoporosis, or those at risk.

Classes focus on weight-bearing and progressive strength training to improve:

  • Bone density

  • Muscle strength and mobility

  • Balance and fall prevention

  • Posture and confidence

  • Energy levels and everyday function

Each participant completes an initial assessment so exercises can be tailored to individual ability, goals and safety. Sessions are guided by current clinical guidelines and closely supervised to ensure safe progression in a supportive, non-intimidating environment.

At Together Strong, our prenatal classes combine pregnancy-specific and functional exercise, with a strong emphasis on core and pelvic floor strength. Each class is carefully designed for pregnancy and combines strength training, Pilates, rehabilitation and stretching.

All classes are led by a registered physiotherapist, allowing us to guide you through an exercise session that is both safe and appropriately challenging throughout pregnancy, supporting women with current or previous injuries and modify exercises as needed.

You can join at any stage of your pregnancy and continue attending until your due date. All new participants complete an initial one-on-one exercise assessment before starting, which allows us to assess your movement, address individual needs, and teach key foundation techniques for the classes.

Prenatal Aquatic Classes

Exercising in water is one of the safest forms of exercise during pregnancy. Water-based exercise is one of the safest and most effective ways to stay active during pregnancy. The buoyancy of the water supports your growing belly, minimizing impact on your pelvic joints and floor. Regular aquatic workouts help manage the physical changes of pregnancy, contribute to a shorter labor with fewer complications, and promote a quicker recovery postpartum.

In each class, we incorporate a variety of Pilates, upper body strength training, and aerobic exercises to maintain your strength and functionality throughout pregnancy, along with pregnancy-specific stretches to alleviate common discomforts. Plus, the sensation of weightlessness in the water makes each session a truly delightful experience!
