Our prenatal aquatic classes in Canberra offer a safe, low-impact way to stay active and comfortable during pregnancy.
These physio-led classes take place in warm water and are designed to support movement, strength, and confidence throughout pregnancy — without the need for a prior physiotherapy consultation for women with uncomplicated pregnancies.
Who Can Join Prenatal Aquatic Classes
Prenatal aquatic classes can be booked without a physiotherapy consultation if you:
are pregnant with an uncomplicated pregnancy
have been cleared for exercise by your GP or midwife
are not experiencing significant pelvic pain, bleeding, or medical complications
feel comfortable exercising in water (you don’t need to be able to swim)
If you have pelvic pain, complex symptoms, or medical concerns, we recommend booking a women’s health physiotherapy consultation before joining.

I've been doing the Prenatal Aquatic Classes since I was in my early second trimester and it's been such an educational and fun experience for my first pregnancy. The water is divine (particularly in winter!) and is such a relief as you grow. The exercises are really beneficial and great for any fitness level. It's quickly become a highlight of my week during my pregnancy and almost serves as a prenatal mothers group! Millie is so knowledgeable and really cares about you and your journey. Would absolutely recommend to any expecting mums!
